[This game show was based upon the children's game of tic-tac-toe;
Three versions of the series were produced by Barry & Enright
Productions, who became notorious when their series "Twenty-One"
was the focus of the national "rigged quiz show scandal" (as
dramatized in the movie "Quiz Show");
The first version on NBC was hosted by Jack Barry, Gene Rayburn
and then Bill Wendell;
The second version on CBS Daytime/Syndicated Evenings was hosted by
Wink Martindale in 1978, then by Jim Caldwell for the 1986 season;
The final 1990 Syndicated revival version was hosted by actor
Patrick Wayne (son of John Wayne)]
