Stars Over Hollywood (dramatic anthology)

    [This series was based upon the long running CBS radio dramatic
     anthology series by the same name  which aired from 1941 - 1954. 
     Unfortunately the translation to television (and a different
     network) was not a successful one, since it only lasted for
     one live TV season...however the following year it metamorphosed
     into the filmed series Gruen Guild Theatre (which see). 

     The radio series continued on CBS for another three years 
     past the demise of the television series.]

    [Theme and composer credit in the 1980 ASCAP Biographical
     Dictionary; Ivan Ditmars also provided music on the CBS 
     radio series of the same name, so no doubt this was the 
     same THEME; On radio his "orchestra" consisted of just
     three instruments -- an organ, harp and violin.]
