Quincy, M. E. (medical drama, starring Jack Klugman)

    [aka: "Quincy"]

[Klugman played a crusading Los Angeles County Medical Examiner,
with a penchant for finding subtle clues and a feisty temperament,
impatient with bureaucracy; some say the Quincy character was
based in part on the real-life L.A. County Coroner Naguchi.]

    (ABC Primetime, 1976 - 1983)

Theme: "Quincy Theme"

[composer Glen A. Larson branched into TV producing, and produced
this series along with "Battlestar Galactica" and other 70s
shows for which he wrote the THEME; in contrast with some
producers who demanded their name be listed as composer in
order to receive a portion of the ASCAP/BMI composing royalties,
(or wrote a weak lyric to get a portion of royalties) Glen
Larson was actually a real composer as well as a producer.]
