McDuff, The Talking Dog (children's sitcom)

     (NBC Saturday Mornings, 1976)

[Walter Willison starred in (and sang the title THEME) of this
series which he describes in correspondence with ClassicThemes
as the "last live-action Saturday morning situation comedy --
(the last live action show made on film and not video until
Pee Wee Herman showed up a decade-and-a-half later!)"

The title character was described as a "200 year old ghost
sheep dog who could talk" voiced by Jack Lester; the role
of his human veterinarian Calvin Campbell was played by
Walter Willison; the supporting cast included character
      actor Gordon Jump playing a next-door neighbor...Although
some interesting ingredients were present, the series only
      aired for 3 months.]
