    [Franciosa played a former government agent who becomes a
     private detective in Los Angeles; based upon a character
     in a series of four motion pictures starring Dean Martin
     from 1966 - 1969 which were scored by Elmer Bernstein,
     Lalo Schifrin, Hugo Montenegro and Frank De Vol;

     To test the concept of the series, Columbia Pictures 
     Television previewed it in a 1975 made-for-TV-Movie which 
     served as a "pilot", scored by Jerry Fielding; however,
     despite pre-testing, the series only lasted a single season]
