Hobby Lobby / The Charley Weaver Show (comedy, starring Cliff Arquette)

    (ABC Primetime, 1959 - 1960)

    [The series began as "Hobby Lobby" but within a month had been
     renamed "The Charley Weaver Show";

     Cliff Arquette was best known in his role as the character
    "Charley Weaver" who hailed from the fictional "Mount Idy";
     Arquette had made guest appearances on several comedy/variety
     series; a very similar series featuring Arquette called "Do
     It Yourself" combined a sitcom format with factual hobby advice
     had been attempted on NBC in 1955, but it had failed to catch
     on with the public and was short-lived; so ABC gave him a
     second chance but it only lasted one season.]
