[despite Hollywood's "conventional wisdom" that feature film
people are "a cut above" television people, motion picture
legend Jimmy Stewart tried a couple of television series;
this MGM effort in conjunction with Arena Productions was
the second of the two (the first was "The Jimmy Stewart
Show", a Warner Brothers sitcom for NBC (1971 - 1972);
Despite Stewart's considerable talents, and a supporting
cast that included actor Strother Martin, this effort, as
well as his first series, only lasted one season each]
