(ABC Saturday Mornings, 1968 - 1970) [aka: "Gulliver"; There have been many stage and screen productions derived from the myth of "Gulliver's Travels", which was a fable by English author Jonathan Swift about an adventurer named Dr. Gulliver who ends up in many lands of inhabitants who are big and small and very different; this tale was a fable intended to teach the importance of tolerance and perspective :-) In this cartoon, the son -- named Gary Gulliver -- goes in search of his father (named Lemuel Gulliver according to this story.) Son Gary goes to the land of the little people (named Lilliput) and befriends the citizens, who are, of course, the Lilliputians... Apparently the series didn't last long enough for a visit to the lands of the giants (the Brobdingnagians), nor the Laputans, the horse-like Houyhnhnms nor the Yahoos -- that's right -- the Yahoos...who as everyone knows went on to fame and fortune by inventing a search engine :-)]
