[now part of Warner Bros. Publications]

Publication date: 1991

[This Folio Book contains 23 TV Themes and 5 other compositions by
prolific TV composer of the 1980s Mike Post (Leland Michael Postil),
and in some cases co-written his late writing partner, the arranger
Pete Carpenter. The 5 compositions (which are not THEMEs) are called
"The L.A. Law Suite" -- indicating their possible derivation from cues
in the "L.A. Law" series. It's possible this book may be in print...

C.P.P. stand for Columbia Pictures Publications, which bought publisher
Belwin-Mills to form CPP/Belwin in 1985; and then the joint company
was absorbed into Warner Bros. Publications in 1994.

"TV Fake Book"

Published by Hal Leonard Corporation
distribution center in Milwaukee, WI
Publication date: 1995

[This Folio Book contains the lead melody line, chord symbols and
words of about 170 TV Themes and featured songs; a professional
musician would be able to "fake" an arrangement from just the lead
melody and chords, hence the term "Fake Book" used for this. The
biggest disappointment is that the "Adventures of Superman" THEME was
a very inaccurate version which appeared to include some kind of
disco lyrics that distorted the melody badly...A better arrangement
of this THEME was in the Hal Leonard book "Television Showstoppers"
 described above...

Also, inexplicably, there are 10 songs (NOT THEMES) used on the PBS
children's show "Sesame Street", but the Main Theme isn't one of them.

The book may still be in print. See the Hal Leonard Web Site for info.
