Squadron of Doom / Ace Drummond (adventure, starring John "Dusty" King)

    (Syndicated, 1937 - 1952)

    [Despite the adventures of "Hopalong Cassidy", "The Lone Ranger"
     and "The Cisco Kid" which were early TV shows based upon B-pictures
     often credited as the "first" filmed TV series...this series
     filmed in 1937 by Motion Pictures For Television, distributed by
     MCA-Universal Studios, this was one of the first series which was
     specifically created for the upcoming new medium of television;

     It was syndicated during the earliest days of television through
     the late 1940s and early 1950s...but due to its not being a TV
     network creation, it sometimes "fell off the radar" in discussing
     the history of the medium]
