The M-G-M Parade (film previews & star bios, hosted by George Murphy)

    (ABC Primetime, 1955 - 1956)

    [George Murphy was a slick, polished, former song and dance man
     who worked with Fred Astaire and others in early MGM Musicals;

     In this program he served as slick spokesperson for the studio
     which packaged this promotional television series; it contained
     memorable excerpts of past MGM films, "behind-the-scenes" studio
     tours, a few vignettes of cinema and Hollywood history, and of
     course star interviews and clips that were designed to promote
     upcoming MGM films of the mid-1950s]
