Fantasy Island (fantasy drama, starring Ricardo Montalban)

    (ABC Primetime, 1978 - 1984)

    [this was an imaginative series based upon the premise that
     if you give people what they want they sometimes learn the
     value of what they have; Ricardo Montalban played a man
     in charge of a curious kind of vacation island (called
     "Fantasy Island") where visitor's dreams can come true;
     his assistant was the dwarf Tatoo, played by Hérve
     Villechaize; a number of different guest stars came through
     so that the series was a mix of dramatic anthology meets
     "The Love Boat", a series it followed on the ABC Primetime
     schedule; exteriors were filmed at the Los Angeles Arboretum]
