Captain David Grief (adventure, starring Maxwell Reed)

    (Syndicated, 1956;
     Re-issued, 1957 as "Jack London Stories")

    [a thinly-produced syndie distributed by Guild Films, shot
     on location in Mexico -- which was only notable because it
     was an early color series and was the first TV series based
     upon stories by famed author Jack London;

     In the show (as in the book) Captain Grief roamed the
     South Seas in a boat aptly called "The Rattler"; his female
     passenger named Anura was played by Maureen Hingart]
